Umpiring Overview Introduction to Umpiring Umpiring Level 1 Umpiring Level 1A Scoring Overview Scoring Level 1

Training and Development

One of the primary functions of our Association is to provide for the training and development of umpires and scorers to support the recreational and professional game, not only in Surrey but further afield. We train officials so that they are fully equipped to manage and handle the demands of single-day cricket, be that at school, friendly or league level. For those with the aptitude and the ambition, further training is subsequently available at county, regional and ultimately national level. The progression of an umpire or scorer from the amateur club level to a contracted ECB professional, or even higher, is possible and provided for.

For an overview or more details on any of the courses we offer, select the appropriate option from the menu.

If you would like more information on any of the courses we run, or advice as to which course would best suit you, please contact the Training Officer by telephone or e-mail - details for the current Training Officer can be found on the Executive Committee page of this website.

Please note that for any course we run, students will need to attend weekly presentations on the dates and at the times and venues shown.

We regret that we cannot accept applications from anyone unable to travel to Woking, and we do not offer correspondence courses ourselves.
